Confirmation Class Schedule Acolyte Schedule Senior High
Confirmation Requirements
Concordia's students begin confirmation when they enter sixth grade. Confirmation takes place on Reformation Sunday (the last Sunday in October) during students' ninth grade year.
Each year, every Confirmation student must:
- Attend weekly Wednesday evening lessons (6:25-8:00pm) from September - May
- Acolyte 8 times
- Serve in worship at least 2 times
- Complete 20 sermon notes (View an example sermon note - you will need to download Adobe Acrobat software).
- Participate in two service projects
- Attend scheduled workshops
- Attend all Wednesday evening Lent services
- Help with youth-sponsored events, such as the Easter Breakfast
In addition to the above, ninth grade students must:
- Attend fall Sunday night studies from 6:30-8:00 p.m. prior to Confirmation Service in October (Reformation Sunday).
Families of confirmation students are expected to:
- Attend worship regularly
- Participate in fellowship.
- Talk about the weekly lessons with your student.
- Assist with special events
